Clear your head in the Allgäu countryside

My favorite place? That's easy: if not the Hotel Oberstdorf, then the breathtaking Allgäu countryside. Not a week goes by that I'm not out in the mountains. It's the perfect place to relax and clear your head. That's probably the best thing about the Allgäu – the magnificent mountains right on your doorstep. There are so many natural experiences, so many different hiking trails, so many peaks, so much to discover! It's impossible not to keep adding to my list of favorite spots!

Time travel & other worlds

The most beautiful thing for me is standing on a mountain and gazing out over the peaks – you suddenly feel so small, yet somehow safe and secure. A delicious snack is definitely part of a perfect hiking day for me, preferably with a hearty mountain cheese sandwich ;) Back in the valley, I reward myself with a cold shandy or a refreshing cocktail on the terrace.

Über Illerursprung & Moorweiher

Diese Rundwanderung bietet Ihnen wunderschöne Ausblicke über Oberstdorf. Angefangen bei Jauchen und einen tollen Blick in die Allgäuer Berge führt Sie der Weg vorbei am Illerursprung bis zum idyllischen Moorweiher. Am Wegesrand sind viele Tafeln, die über die Natur und Tiere berichten.

The foghorn

Oberstdorf's local mountain: The Nebelhorn, with its breathtaking 400-peak panorama, is a unique destination in both summer and winter. The mountain can be climbed from the valley or comfortably reached via the Nebelhorn cable car.

The Söllereck

The Söllereck mountain is the ideal hiking area for the whole family. The highlight in summer is the nature trail and the new climbing park. A thrilling ride on the Allgäu Coaster is also a must on every visit!

The Hohe Ifen

To this day, the Hohe Ifen has not lost its fascination and offers suitable terrain for both walkers and ambitious hikers - and ever new views of the surrounding mountains.
