Right at the hotel, you can relax in the wonderful Alpine wellness area. Board games are available in the fireside bar. The nearby Wonnemar leisure pool is also a great option. Indoor playgrounds like Allgäulino, Wonniland, and Lina Laune Land are fantastic alternatives if the sun isn't shining. With the right clothing, why not visit the Breitachklamm, Central Europe's deepest gorge, which is even more impressive when it rains? The Sturmannshöhle cave and the Burgberg ore mines are also highly recommended and can be enjoyed regardless of the weather.

At Hotel Oberstdorf, two children up to 17 years old stay free in their parents' room during many periods. Book our Family Days or Family Getaway packages to take advantage of this offer. If you need more space or are traveling with more than two children, we recommend our spacious family rooms. You'll receive a second room for the kids with a discount of up to 50%.

For all mountain enthusiasts, our Family Mountain Time package is ideal. Mountain railway tickets for unlimited mountain enjoyment on all nine mountain railways operating during the summer season are included for all family members.

We offer our guests various room options for families:

• Family Cozy Room for up to four people. Children sleep in comfortable bunk beds next to the parents' bed. Two children up to 17 years old stay free of charge.

• Two adjoining rooms (some with a connecting door). These rooms can accommodate up to four children in addition to two adults. A discount of up to 50% is available for the children's room.

The hotel tower houses the "Games Alp"—a playroom designed to resemble a traditional Allgäu alpine hut. This is a favorite spot for many of our young guests. Older children enjoy a game of table tennis outdoors during the summer.

The wellness area at Hotel Oberstdorf features a heated outdoor saltwater pool with views towards the Nebelhorn mountain, a whirlpool "Gumpn" and a 360 m² natural bathing lake with a diving stone.

No matter what time of year you visit Hotel Oberstdorf with your family, there are plenty of places to visit. The family-friendly Söllereck mountain is just one kilometer away, and the Alpsee mountain world is about 30 minutes away. An hour away you'll find the "world's longest pedestrian bridge in Tibetan style," which connects two castle ruins.

During school holidays, there's a daily family holiday program. From short hikes and arts and crafts to cocktail mixing, cooking, and baking, there's something for everyone.

Right outside the door, the Allgäu mountains await – the largest playground in the Alps. Adventure trails, numerous playgrounds, climbing parks, toboggan runs (summer and winter), and much more are waiting to be discovered.

All family packages include full board. Look forward to a sumptuous breakfast buffet with over 155 items, the Allgäu farmers' buffet in the afternoon, and a changing gourmet buffet in the evening.
