What to do with children in Oberstdorf.

A summer holiday at the Hotel Oberstdorf means family time in the Allgäu! Exploring nature together, splashing around in the water, and experiencing many little adventures... the kids fall tired into bed in the evening, and the parents can relax and end the day on the terrace.

Into the water!

Even though the sea isn't right around the corner, you certainly don't have to miss out on water fun during your Oberstdorf vacation. On the contrary – water lovers are spoiled for choice here! ;-)

Rivers - the perfect way to cool off

Throwing stones into the water or splashing around – most children can't get enough of it. It's perfect, then, that there are many rivers here with shallow, rocky beds where you can relax and let the kids play.

Lakes - magnificent places with breathtaking views

Mountain lakes have a certain magic to them – don't you think? Most are also perfect for a quick dip to cool your feet. But of course, there are also fantastic lakes that invite you to a wonderful day of swimming. At some, you can even combine this with a boat trip, and delicious Allgäu specialties are always available for a delightful break.

Outdoor swimming pools - fun and games in cool water

Even though nature offers plenty of ways to cool off, outdoor swimming pools are especially popular with families with young children. Of course, you'll find plenty to enjoy here as well. In Oberstdorf, there's the "Moorbad" (moorland pool): https://www.oberstdorf.de/sommer/freizeittipps/moorbad-oberstdorf.html, in Fischen a heated outdoor pool with lots of attractions for kids, and in Burgberg a wonderful "Naturbad" (natural swimming pool): https://www.schwimmbadcheck.de/burgberg/vitalpark-blaichach.html with a zip line over the water.

Playground hopping

All parents know the magical allure of playgrounds. The great thing about holidays is that you can simply relax without time pressure or guilt, watch the kids play, and enjoy the moment.

The Allgäu village of Oberstdorf also offers fun and games for its younger guests - for example, on the playground below the spa park.

Right in the heart of Oberstdorf, behind the Oberstdorf Haus, is a beautiful, newly designed playground. Perfect after a stroll through the streets and before enjoying an ice cream from Rivera in the market square.

You'll also find a nice playground, mostly in the shade, at the flax retting area. A break here can be perfectly combined with a visit to the ski jumping arena (only 2 minutes away).

At the foot of the Söllereck mountain is our Oberstdorf alpine pasture. Opposite it, kids can become snowcat drivers. There it stands, a gigantic wooden model complete with steering wheel, accelerator pedal, and much more.

Playgrounds in the mountains

Nebelhorn, Fellhorn, Kanzelwand, Söllereck – playgrounds await your kids at all the mountain stations. And while the little ones let off steam, you can enjoy the magnificent mountain panorama.

Right next to the valley station of the Nebelhorn cable car is an idyllic mini-golf course where you can enjoy the magnificent mountain view of the Allgäu Alps.

Den Minigolf-König krönen

3 Plätze - 3 Chancen - 3 Sieger ;-) Wie wäre es mit einer Partie Minigolf? Auch kleinere Kinder können hier ihre ersten Erfolge mit Schläger und Ball feiern. Die Minigolfplätze in Fischen, Bosterlang (übrigens mit tollem Spielplatz nebenan) und Oberstdorf sind völlig verschieden. In Fischen beispielsweise sind Heimatmotive in 3D abgebildet, die teilweise begehbar sind. Ein echtes Erlebnis wartet auf Sie!

Tipp: Bis zum 24. August gibt es in Bolsterlang jeden Mittwoch ein Minigolf-Turnier für Jedermann. Ab 16 Uhr, ca. 2 Stunden. Preise für Groß und Klein gibt es natürlich auch.
