Theme week: Hiking days from November 3rd to November 7th, 2025
During the last week of November, you will discover the most beautiful autumn hikes around Oberstdorf together with hotel director Magdalena and her team.
On the road with the hiking guide and ambassador of nature
Golden autumnal shimmer, vibrant foliage—everything shines in its full glory one last time before nature falls into its winter slumber. For hotel director Magdalena Sturm, there's nothing more beautiful! She's a true autumn child. And that's exactly what she'll share with you during the last week of October. She and culinary manager Steffen Peres will take turns leading their favorite tours through Mummen, ravines, along high-altitude trails, and past beautiful avenues and valleys.
It's a wonderful time to enjoy the Allgäu's "Indian Summer" through the valleys and at mid-elevations, while learning fascinating facts about the local flora and fauna.

On foot, it's about a 30-minute gentle uphill walk to the Söllereck cable car. Here we'll board the gondola and ride to the mountain station.
A scenic path then leads us across the Sölleralpe alpine pasture to the ridge, and from there we continue steadily uphill, accompanied by stunning views, towards the Fellhorn mountain.
Via the Schlappoldsee lake, we reach the mountain station and treat ourselves to a well-deserved break 😊
The Fellhorn cable car will take us back down to the valley, saving our knees, and from there we'll take the bus back to the hotel.
Start: 9:00 AM
Hiking time: approx. 3 hours
Return: approx. 3:30 PM
Cost: €38 for the round trip, plus any snacks and drinks during our break

The first part of the hike takes us through Oberstdorf and towards the Schattenberg ski jump. Then we climb a good distance until we reach the Wallraffweg trail. The wonderful view of Oberstdorf accompanies us on this panoramic high-altitude trail for about 1.5 hours until we reach the Gaistobel gorge. Here the descent to Reichenbach begins. On the way back, we stop at the Moorstüble, picturesquely situated by the moorland bath in the small hamlet of Rubi. After a delicious break, we hike back to Oberstdorf and take the bus back to the hotel.
Start: 9:30 a.m.
Hiking time: approx. 4 hours
Return: approx. 4:30 p.m.
Costs: snacks and drinks during the stop (if applicable)

Following the motto "The early bird catches the worm," we'll start around 6:00 a.m., depending on sunrise time, and hike towards Waldesruhe. From there, we'll ascend until we reach the Edmund-Probst Trail. Here, we'll linger, enjoy the atmospheric view to the east, and watch the sun and the day awaken.
On the way back, we'll stop for a well-deserved coffee or hot tea at the Alpe Oberstdorf (Söllereck middle station) before returning to the hotel in time for a delicious breakfast.
